What is it about?
In the mesoporous or colloidal TiO2 electron transport layer of perovskite solar cells, photocarriers undergo massive grain boundary resistance, triggering recombination. This work realizes a new design of the TiO2 electron transport layer, i.e. single-crystalline nanograss-like structure, that facilitates facile photocarrier transport and interfacial charge transfer.

Why is it important?
Single-crystalline TiO2 nanograss enhances interfacial charge transfer from perovskite absorber and reduces carrier recombination due to a highly mobile carrier transport along with the nanograss.
