What is it about?
Methane reacts with carbon dioxide and water to produce syngas (bi-reforming of methane). A catalyst consisting of nickel as the active phase and K2O as a promoter, both supported on MgO/LDH has alkaline features and is able of selectively adsorbing carbon dioxide, thus promoting the bi-reforming of methane.

Why is it important?
Conversion of methane and carbon dioxide into syngas is as alternative and highly relevant process of valorization of methane and CO2 mitigation via production of syngas, an energy carrier mixture of CO and H2.
