How changing anions affects the aggregation of naphthalene diimide diimidazolium salts

What is it about?

In this work we studied the sel-assembly of diimidazolium-functionalized naphthalene diimiimide salts (NDI), bearing different anions, to investigate how this change affects the aggregation process.

Why is it important?

This is one og the few works addressing how changing the anion can be a viable way to change the self assembly process of ionic NDI tectons. We fondo a profound impact on the morphology and stability of the aggregates.
