What is it about?
Using mesoporous silica KIT-6 as the silica source to introduce hierarchical zeolite. the mesostructure of it help to produce hierarchical structure by increasing the surface area and pore volume. Thus, the hierarchical zeolite is appropriate to use as a support of metal nanoparticles and subsequently using its as a catalyst. this catalyst can act as an acid-metal bifunctional catalyst in reduction of nitro compounds.

Why is it important?
Using the catalyst as a bifunctional catalyst with very high activity for reduction of nitro compounds. Comparing the acidic form and sodium form of catalyst in both their structures and catalytic activities.
