Atomic spectrometry updates: Review of advances in atomic spectrometry and related techniques

What is it about?

This review covers developments in ‘Atomic Spectrometry’. It covers atomic emission, absorption, fluorescence and mass spectrometry, but excludes material on speciation and coupled techniques which is included in a separate review. It should be read in conjunction with the five other related reviews in the series. A critical approach to the selection of material is adopted, with only novel developments in instrumentation, techniques and methodology being included.

Why is it important?

Atomic Spectrometry Updates are annual reviews written by a community of experts in their field. The aim is to provide six authoritative, critical and comprehensive reviews of the major fundamental and applied areas of analytical atomic spectrometry. They currently appear in alternate issues of the Royal Society of Chemistry's Journal of Analytical Atomic Spectrometry (JAAS).
