In this work, unique carbon materials with various hierarchical pores were synthesized from zinc containing metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). This presents a novel method and rationale for utilizing carbonized MOFs for sulfur loading to fabricate cathode structures for lithium-sulfur batteries.
