Arrays of coupled chemical oscillators

What is it about?

This work demonstrates for the first time the new phenomena in arrays of coupled chemical oscillators composed of candle flames whereby synchronisation effects can lead to the enhancement of a slave flame to surrounding oscillators. Groups of candles are arranged in various configurations and oscillation death, in-phase and anti-phase oscillations and flame suppression/enhancements are witnessed.
