What is it about?

Wars worldwide have been constant and marked by characteristics specific to each region. Knowing their consequences on the different actors in the conflict is essential to support intervention activities in post-conflict processes.

Why is it important?

Our findings can contribute to a macroecological approach to armed conflicts, taking into account their impact on demobilized combatants who are forced to participate in acts of war for political reasons and social inequity.

Perspectives

We believe that this publication can bring the community closer to the knowledge of the consequences of war on the mental health of ex-combatants. In addition, it allows us to recognize the feelings and suffering to which ex-combatants are exposed by participating in conflicts that, in one way or another, are a consequence of inequality and poverty.
