What is it about?
Use three case vignettes, we illustrated for international trainees, there are two salient developmental processes - one in person, acculturative adjustment, and one in professional development to the health psychology profession. It is crucial to incorporate both of these processes for international trainees' normative development in health psychology.

Why is it important?
It provided a critical gap in the current literature to understand supervision with one of the fastest-growing student bodies in health psychology professions.
Perspectives
Oftentimes, supervisors failed to address the unspoken cultural expectations (e.g., how to ask for help, how to provide self-evaluation) for international trainees. This article provides a framework to fill this gap, both for supervisors to become more culturally competent and for supervisees to understand their own experiences and advocate for themselves.
