What is it about?

Our institutions, organizations, and society in general needs to be more civil, gracious, hospitable, and polite. This paper discusses the American Psychological Association's efforts to develop and encourage civility throughout the organization. The civility principles can easily be applied to other organizations and institutions.

Why is it important?

Our culture has gotten meaner, nasty, and uncivil. We need to find ways to push back to create a more civil society and culture for all.

Perspectives

I believe that we can create a better world and community with an emphasis on civility, politeness, graciousness, and hospitality. We are more like to be able to flourish and thrive if we can do so.
