Even though the prevalence of infection by the protozoan parasite T. gondii is high in many countries worldwide and it is accepted that the infected patients could remain assymptomatic during their lifetime, the present work demonstrated that this concept does not have to be applied to all patients

The visual attention has to be assessed frequently to those infected individuals who are involved in professional activities that need the integrity of this parameter.

Perspectives

Even for those patients who do not present lesions due to ocular toxoplasmosis, an accurated analysis of their visual attention needs to be considered.
