Why is it important?

Academics improved in this study. It also makes a strong case for prevention.

Perspectives

This research has been very worthwhile. Too often, we don't offer services to those most in need until the problems are well out of hand and severe consequences have ensued. It was very meaningful to see these students improve, which is not the norm for a student who has been identified as at risk.
