This is a critique of a series of studies in two publications about sexual exploitation of people who experience mental illness as evolutionarily adaptive, with which we disagree.

Why is it important?

It is important to have accurate perceptions of the use of evolutionary theory in psychology as a genuine theoretical framework and not to mis-use this theory.
