Why is it important?
Interviews are one of the most used hiring procedures, but understanding how AI technology can be utilized in this context is relatively unknown. We introduce a new approach to AI-scored interviews called automated video interview competency assessments (AVI-CAs) and present the first study to demonstrate the ability of the AVI-CAs to predict job performance across organizations. This research highlights the potential for organizations to achieve efficiency, objectivity, and fairness goals through the use of AVI-CAs.
