What is it about?
We explain how ongoing changes at the work-unit level may amplify and accumulate over time to become substantive changes at the organizational-level. We show how work-unit members and managers' cognitive processes may determine whether a specific work-unit level change is adapted similarly across other work-units or adapted differently across other work-units. We also emphasize managers' role in creating a sense of meaning for these accumulated bottom-up changes.

Why is it important?
Organizations today are expected to harness their members' day-to-day ongoing changes to their work routines in order to stay competitive. Our theory explains this important, yet underexplored, model of continuous organizational change so that managers can support and enable continuous change in their organizations.
