What is it about?
We show that among Swedish gamblers (N=7,436) accessing an online problem gambling screener, patterns of gambling involving online casino games are common and strongly related to problem gambling. We also show that the effect of gambling on several game types vary by game type. For online casino games and EGMs the effect is weak whereas it is strong for lotteries and horse betting.

Why is it important?
We explore the association between certain game types, gambling involvement and problem gambling using both person and variable centered approaches on the same data set. We show that some game types, regardless of approach, have stronger associations with problem gambling than others.
