People who watched short, 5-minute inspiring videos every day for 5 days felt more hopeful, and that hope predicted reduced stress up to 10 days later. Importantly, this effect was the same as for those who meditated for the same amount of time. These stress-reducing benefits were found for people, regardless of initial stress levels, resilience, self-esteem, age, or gender.
