This study advances the idea that gender and education make no significant difference in the mindfulness rather meditation has a positive impact in enhancing the mindfulness. The meditation skill level and frequency of meditation increased the mindfulness of respondents in which meditation skill level contributed the most. Therefore encouraging the practice of meditation can enhance the mindfulness among youth

Why is it important?
This study examines meditational practices and mindfulness among the youth who had experienced the breakdown of their normal routines.It was found that Gender and education make no significant difference in mindfulness; rather, meditation has a positive impact in enhancing mindfulness. The meditation skill level and frequency of meditation increased the mindfulness of respondents, in which the meditation skill level contributed the most. Therefore encouraging the practice of meditation can enhance the mindfulness among youth.
