What is it about?
An article about research into the connection between personality and nightmares. Using a well known model of personality (NEO-FFI-30). We looked for associations between this model and frequencies of nightmares (nightmare frequency), as well as how distressing they are experienced (nightmare distress). The article also includes a instrument for measuring coping strategies for nightmares experiences, and how this relates to both nightmare distress/frequency.

Why is it important?
Figuring out why some people have more nightmares than others, and why some feel more distresed by them. And how they deal with them impacts future nightmare experiences. Is important beacuse it can inform clinical research on who is at increased risk for such disturbances and how to effectivly deal with such disturbances in individuals.
