What is it about?

This is the first paper in which an infinite number of local conservation laws for the Camassa-Holm (CH) equation is explicitly presented. We also construct a non-trivial nonlocal symmetry and we prove that (generically) solutions to CH determine pseudo-spherical Riemannian metrics.
