What is it about?
Triggering protein reactions is often difficult in infrared spectroscopic experiments. Here, a method to induce consecutive phosphate transfer reactions is described. It is used to characterise how the structure of a β-sheet in the Ca2+-ATPase is modified by binding of ATP's γ-phosphate.
