Why is it important?
I do not normally publish on Alzheimer's research! My contribution here was to the kinetic assay of inhibitors. Fixed-time assays had initially suggested very little effect by these inhibitors. A careful timecourse study showed the fixed time point was far beyond the period of linearity. Shorter incubations revealed that the inhibitors are indeed effective. Given long enough even an inhibited enzyme can catch up!
