What is it about?
Borrowing a more complicated model from other people and doing some math on it to make it more simple, we observed that it was possible to obtain a number which can be used to evaluate how much the electrodes can interact with the molecules in large area molecular junctions and influence their electric properties. This number does not require any additional measure to be made, can reveal hidden features of the devices, and can be applied to almost any data set ever measured.

Why is it important?
For people working in molecular electronics (especially dealing with large area devices), it is very handy to be able to discern the different phenomena that contributes to the outcome of the experiments they perform. However, often complex experiments and expensive machinery are necessary to fully disclose the characteristics of the investigated devices. The parameter we found, can offer a very rapid and effective way to check that everything in under control, jut by replotting the data.
