What is it about?

We have synthesised a series of compounds that join electron donating group with electron accepting one. The spacer between those influences greatly their properties although the donor and acceptor are always the same.

Why is it important?

This material is, in our opinion important because till now only 5-8 compounds of this kind were known. Thus it is the very beginning of the new class of dyes.

Perspectives

Relatively easy synthesis and unable properties make these molecules interesting to study.
