What is it about?
This work compares different chemical analysis techniques to assess the composition of fingerprints. This helps explain the behaviour of the prints, and how development techniques can best visualise the marks, as well as help gain extra intelligence from the latent fingerprints, such as determining if the mark comes from a man or woman, a drug user, or avid coffee drinker.
