What is it about?
The analytical characterization of a novel ion source for mass spectrometry is presented. The device, the array of micromachined ultrasonic electrospray (AMUSE), consists of a piezoelectric transducer that creates ultrasonic waves at one of the reservoir resonant frequency and an array of pyramidally shaped nozzles.
