What is it about?

Infectious organisms inject specific proteins, called effectors, into cells when causing disease. We are looking at an effector from a plant disease, which gets injected into the cells of pepper, cucumber and squash plants as part of the process of causing blight. This effector is related to a protein from potato blight. We looked at how flexible different regions of this effector is, and comment that this can have implications for plant disease.
