What is it about?
Delirium is a common and devastating condition, yet it's frequently unrecognized in clinical practice. Through a specific questionnaire we assessed the level of competence on delirium of a large population of Italian healthcare professional, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and psychologists. We found areas of good practice but also of lack in competence. Education and training are needed in our country to improve detection and management of delirium in patients at risk.
