What is it about?
We retrospectively determined in patients with S. aureus bacteremia (SAB) whether the management was consistent with the IDSA guidelines in an academic medical center compared to three community hospitals within the same health system.

SAB can result in significant morbidity and mortality. IDSA guidelines for the management of SAB assist clinicians with appropriate management principles. Not following the IDSA guidelines can result in increased morbidity and mortality.
