Why is it important?
This commentary reflects whether long-term ambulatory oxygen therapy (AOT) is an ineffective treatment. The commentary highlights how 6 previous studies conducted on AOT for patients with COPD demonstrated that, on average, AOT did not improve patient outcomes. even after increasing sample sizes. Moore et al. also showed similar results.
