What is it about?
The effect of perceptual acceleration of how fast an in-stream visual image reaches conscious experience (exemplified by the flash-lag effect) is shown to decrease with increase in the duration with which the flashed moving image is shown. It appears that the process of getting conscious access to perceptual information accelerates along with the accumulating stream of sensory input signals. Preceding instances of input act as facilitators for the succeeding instances of input.
