Why is it important?
Martensitic stainless steel is an important material for corrosive medium where hardness is important. However, increase its hardness can be necessary through additional treatments. Our findings shows that the carburizing can be more suitable than nitriding for the same temperature-time treatment conditions.
Perspectives
To test these conditions under wear-corrosion simultaneously.
