What is it about?

Ruthenium dioxide is used as catalyst material in for example gas sensors. In this study we have used computer calculations to better understand the catalysis process down to the level of atoms (0.000 000 0000 1 m). We have looked at the speed of the catalysis reaction steps and how easily the reaction steps are proceeding (themodynamics).
