Why is it important?

Surface coatings created by super-spread wetting of laser-ablated carbon steel by liquid copper therefore have the potential to prevent transmission of bacterial infections in hospitals and in public environments.

Perspectives

It will be utilized effectively to control infection as well as corrosion characteristics in various places including not only hospitals, but also food processing fields, cooling pipes, various pipeworks, toilets, kitchen etc.
