What is it about?
A specific boron-containing master alloy was added to AISI 316L powder. Mixes were mechanically alloyed for different period of time. Milling modified the sintering behaviour with lowering the sintering temperature and with creation equalized dense layer on all sinter surfaces.

Why is it important?
By using mentioned master ally for sintering the 316L powders one may create dense and non-porous layer on all surface of the sinter.
