What is it about?
A new heat transfer -friction analogy for fluids at supercritical pressure is derived. The new analogy is tested against data from heat transfer experiments with R134a, R22, Helium, CO2 and water at various reduced pressures.

Why is it important?
The new analogy works well for different fluids at low heat flux to mass flux ratios. This is important for scaling studies involving supercritical fluids. Moreover, the new analogy can serve as a new starting point for the development of heat transfer relations that work well at high heat flux to mass flux ratios for different fluids at supercritical pressure.
