What is it about?
By teaching we learn. So, we examined students who had teaching experience (quasi-teachers) to see if they differ from their counterparts who had no teaching experience. It was found that teaching does help quasi-teachers (and students) to improve their assessment literacy and learn the materials deeply. Explanation of the materials is very helpful as to help students become learning-oriented.

Why is it important?
In the current educational environment, students are likely to become grade-oriented and take a surface-approach toward learning. That is, they are encouraged to study for improving their grades. Learning by teaching activity (peer tutoring) can be a solution to this issue.
