What is it about?
Our review aims to convey a broad and complex interplay between the frequently examined cells of the mesenchymal lineage -specifically adipocytes and osteoblasts- but to broaden this to include chondrocytes , as well as hematopoietic-derived osteoclasts.

Why is it important?
In seeking to build on known interplay between diverse skeletal cell populations, we ask how interactions between a multitude of cells might be attenuated with non-pharmacologic, exercise and dietary based interventions for aging related conditions like osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.
