What is it about?
Use of Hydrogen-Rich Water as solvent increases the extraction of different phytochemicals from agricultural-food wastes. Phenolic compounds, Flavonoids, Anthocyanins, and Antioxidants are highly extracted when hydrogen-rich water is used as solvent.

Why is it important?
Use of hydrogen-rich water as solvent can improve the extraction of different bioactive compounds from plant materials such as wastes without using expensive equipment or toxic reagents. The extract yield and phytochemical levels can be increased for many folds by using this new method.
Perspectives
This study will help researchers and processors to improve their extraction method at low budget scale and high profitability.
