What is it about?

In robotics, it is usual to localize based on the measurement of the position of targets in the camera image. This paper investigates the case where fast movements make the marker makes a blur.

Why is it important?

The proposed model enables to increase the accuracy of the localization so that a regular camera can be used instead of a more costly high-speed camera.

Perspectives

I am specially proud of the experimental validation setup that was designed by Shingo and I during one of my stays in Sendai. The marker supposed to be on a moving object is emulated by a video-projector which allows to know accurately its trajectory and compare it with the reconstruction made with the camera.
