Perspectives

Use of ferronickel slag (FNS) as a construction material was reviewed. Ground FNS can be utilized as a supplementary cementing material (SCM) and FNS fine aggregate can be used as partial replacement of natural sand. SCM such as fly ash can successfully mitigate potential ASR of FNS aggregate. Use of FNS in concrete can contribute to conservation of natural resources.
