What is it about?
We used the benthic foraminiferal assemblage to investigate the Pleistocene tectonic evolution of the Island of Rhodes using transfer functions. We found distinct patterns of subsidence and uplift and can confirm the usability of benthic foraminiferal transfer functions for tectonic reconstructions.

Why is it important?
Reconstructing the tectonic history of a region can be complicated and is ideally based on several proxies used in unison. We here show that benthic foraminiferal transfer functions are one possible proxy to use.
