What is it about?
Poliosis is defined as decrease or absence of melanin in the hair and appears as a patch of white hair. It may affect various regions of the body such as the scalp, eyelashes, eyebrow, and beard. This article describes an association of poliosis with ganglioglioma.

Why is it important?
Neurological disorders causing poliosis are rare and have previously been reported with tuberous sclerosis, Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease, neurofibroma, and trigeminal neuralgia. This is the first case of poliosis associated with ganglioglioma.
Perspectives
Removal of underlying pathology leads to spontaneous resolution of poliosis.
