What is it about?

The strain DBT1 of Burkholderia fungorum, previously isolated from an oil refinery wastewater drainage and capable of transforming dibenzothiophene through the 'destructive' oxidative pathway (referred to as the Kodama pathway) is compared here with another environmental isolate belonging to the same species, for its ability to synthesize elemental selenium nanoparticles from selenite.
