What is it about?
We introduced iron(III) ions on oxidized multiwall carbon nanotubes. It was found that they make the relaxation processes (NMR, MRI) much more efficient that the substrates - oxidized but free from Fe(3+) ions nanotubes.

Why is it important?
Such reagents acceleration relaxation of neighboring water protons (called contrast agents) help to recognize ill and healthy tissues during MRI examinations.
