We evaluated the safety and efficacy of sildenafil citrate for treating erectile dysfunction in patients with multiple sclerosis.

Why is it important?
It has been reported reported that 73.1% of subjects affected by all types of MS have some type of sexual dysfunction. The reported rate of erectile dysfunction in patients with MS is 53.2%. The exact etiology of MS emergent ED is still a matter of debate, and is related to neurological dysfunction, psychological factors and side effects of medication or generalized MS symptoms
