Why is it important?

Since more and more people are exposed to occupational and lifestyle factors that worsen dry eye (contact lens, computer screens, sunlight exposure, etc) it is important to determine the effects of the environment and the components and types of pollution that can be studied in ocular surface disease.

Perspectives

Pollution remains one of the most poorly studied factors in dry eye. TFOS has launched another international workshop to evaluate this.
