Why is it important?
Enuresis is an important public health problem that can cause considerable distress to children and their parents, which has mandated population-based studies concerning the prevalence, determinants and consequences of this disorder. Despite recent advances in the understanding of the pathophysiology of enuresis, few population-based estimates of the prevalence in different ethnic groups are available.
