Why is it important?
The development of a male hormonal contraceptive has been technically possible for a number of years, but concerns persist regarding the acceptability of such a method. This paper provides some insight into the attitudes and concerns that male contraceptive users have regarding the use of a 'male pill'. Addressing these concerns and preferences may allow manufacturers of a proposed novel male method of contraception to overcome difficulties with acceptability, and provide men with widened choice regarding contraception.
