What is it about?
Nanofibers made in the electrospinning process have a very interesting set of material properties that are beneficial for many applications. This paper presents an original method of creating the shape of a collector for electrospinning. The proposed shapes ensure the even distribution of the electric field intensity together with limiting the edge effects.

Why is it important?
Despite many existing commercial solutions, there are still some problems that need to be solved to improve the quality of obtained materials as well as overall process electrospinning performance. In this paper, we shown an original solution which by proper changing of the collector shape leads to uniform electrostatics field distribution on its surface what was confirmed by FEM analysis. An even distribution of field strength results in the production of the more durable and break-resistant fibers.
